Custom Printed Gummed Water-Activated Paper Tape – Standard & Reinforced
Gummed paper tape—also called water-activated tape or WAT—uses a dry adhesive that is activated by water immediately before application. The moistened adhesive penetrates the fibres of corrugated board and forms a permanent bond, so opening normally damages the tape or carton surface and makes interference easy to see.
Standard paper grades are suitable for light and medium cartons. Reinforced WAT adds fibres between paper layers to provide much higher tensile strength for heavier cases and demanding distribution. It can be applied with a manual, semi-automatic or automatic water-activated dispenser.
